Government Affairs Program
Welcome
to GHAR's Government Affairs Web site! The mission of the GHAR
government affairs program is to advance the interests of its members at
all levels of government, both legislative and regulatory, to increase
the size and presence of the REALTORSฎ political action committee (RPAC),
to enhance the associations ability to influence government through an
active grassroots network of members and to increase public awareness
through public relations programs and campaigns.
The decisions made by elected officials at the county, state and national level potentially have a huge impact on the real estate profession. GHAR is committed to being involved in that process to ensure that our members interests are represented. Please take a moment to review the information on this Web site and learn about the important issues facing REALTORSฎ and how you can get involved.

Register and Get Out The Vote
|
GHAR and PAR encourage REALTORSฎ
to register to vote. If you are a first time voter, have
recently moved or changed your name, you may need to
register or re-register to vote. The deadline to
register is Monday, Oct. 6. Along with casting a
vote for president in the General Election on Tuesday,
Nov. 4, there are several local and state elections
across the commonwealth. In the General Assembly,
there are 27 open seats with 88 incumbent state
lawmakers facing challengers. There are also races
for attorney general, auditor general and state
treasurer. It is important to back candidates who
support private property rights and the real estate
industry. To register to vote, click here:
